April had no guest speaker but we were honored to greet new member Reynold Mackey and charmed to meet his family as well.
All attendees were encouraged to sign up to brief a topic of their interest for future meetings.

Once again we spared no expense– our guest speaker was one of our very own, Fred Mooney, KA1DGL. Fred’s topic was 60’s Console Stereo Restorations. Lots of us have fond memories of playing records on these consoles back in the 60s and 70s. Today they’re pieces of bona-fide sought-after mid-century modern decor. So Fred gave a riveting presentation about how to bring a great nostalgic piece of made-in-USA retro-technology back into your home!

Recent change to Colorado law. When you get an amateur radio license plate with your callsign, or renew your existing one, you must now bring your amateur radio license from the FCC.

For February our guest speaker was our very own Violetta Latham, KN2P, who briefed about her recent adventures on world-class DXpeditions in exotic far-away lands.
Violetta’s presentation was very well received, attracting a recent GGARC attendance record of 30 members.
Violetta is also the youth coordinator for the ARRL region. Thank you Violetta.
